Pride in London took place over the weekend and we were in attendance.
There were estimated to be over a million spectators along the Pride parade route – from Portland Place, down Oxford Circus, Regent Street and Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street and Pall Mall before passing Trafalgar Square and finishing on Whitehall.
We took our start place in the parade where we found ourselves close to Brentford, Charlton and West Ham.
Our start time clashed with the England game, but led to a great atmosphere not just amongst those in the parade, but also with the crowds lining the route.
Harry the Hornet was very popular and everyone wanted his picture. We finished the parade with new friends, new contacts and England in a semi-final!
I’d just like to thank the club for supporting us at London Pride. Not only did we have a great time, but we’ve seen our membership and Twitter followers grow.
